Nemoto USAF Douglas C-47 sells for $338

Nemoto models from Japan are lovely examples produced in the 1950s and 1960s. They are fairly hard to find and usually pricey.

This auction is for a Douglas C-47 Skytrain Desk Model. The model was made in the 1950's by either Tenshodo or Nemoto. Both Tenshodo and Nemoto were famous Japanese model makers and they made some of the finest desk models. The model measures 12" wide and 8 1/2"" long. The model is made out wood and it sits on its original metal stand. The model is in great shape for being 60+ years old. The model has some amazing craftsmanship as all the flight surfaces, fuselage details, and engine details have been carved out. The models original propellers were lost some time ago, but the replacements look great. Tenshodo and Nemoto models are very rare and highly sought after.
