After looking for two decades I finally acquired this 1/72 metal Verkuyl DC-8 in Garuda livery. Unlike most of my other Verkuyl models that have badly yellowed, this model remains in great condition with no yellowing of the paint so far. The belonged to the owner of the airport restaurant in Amsterdam in the 60s and 70s, and the model was given to him by a Garuda DC-8 pilot back then. This model will always remain in my collection as I had been looking for such a model for the past 20 years.
